Supervision Services
building confidence and competence
David W. Stewart Ph.D., R.C.C. A.C.S.#45
I want to acknowledge that I live, and work in the unceded territories of the WASANEC PEOPLE,
more specifically those of the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout and Tseycum nations.
Getting Started
I do a 2-hour intake interview to give me enough time to fully understand the situations which bring someone to me for help. I watch, and listen very carefully to what clients share with me before I propose how I would approach helping them, which I share at the end of the intake interview. We discuss my proposal and negotiate as needed to see if we are a good fit to work together.
My treatment process would not begin until the second meeting if we agree to work together. What we agree upon as the goals is our helping contract that continually guides me back to keeping us on track. Sessions are often 90 minutes for individuals and 2 hours for couples. This too can be negotiated as needed.
